I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about working with women, helping each individual grow into their strongest self. I received both my Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University and found my passion working with women in non-profit settings. While working at a maternity home, I discovered my love for counseling one-on-one.
There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to the therapeutic process of healing. As no two souls are the same, no two treatment journeys will be the same. I believe firmly in techniques that empower the autonomy of the client, explore behavioral patterns and hang-ups, and process relevant childhood experiences in order to develop healthy coping strategies and seek change.
I am a solution-focused therapist and I believe engaging in therapy should make a notable change in your life. I encourage my clients to either have an objective for each session, to be open to feedback, or to engage in learning a coping skill that directly addresses their areas of concern.
