Your first session is really about us getting to know each other, and it’s completely okay to use this time to see if it feels like a good fit for you. You’re not committing to anything long-term after one session—this is your chance to get a sense of whether you feel comfortable, understood, and supported here.
We’ll talk about what brought you in and what’s been feeling hard lately, as well as what you’d like to be different in your life. You might be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, stuck in patterns that aren’t working for you anymore, or navigating a major life change like perimenopause, relationship stress, body image concerns, emotional eating, addiction recovery, or just feeling a bit disconnected from yourself.
I’ll ask some questions about your background and what support looks like in your life right now, but you can take your time—there’s no need to share everything all at once.
You’re also welcome to ask me questions about how I work or what it’s like to be in therapy with me. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling heard, not judged, and with a clearer sense of whether this feels like the right space for you.
