I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with an MA in Professional Counseling from Texas State University. I hold certifications as National Board Certified Counselor and a Certified School Counselor. I work with individuals, couples, and families. Working in public education - 10 years as a teacher, and 10+ years as a school counselor - I have had opportunities to foster growth not only among my student-clients, but their families, as well.
My approach to counseling is person-centered to emphasize connection, positive energy, creativity, and physical movement. Among my areas of expertise are relationship dynamics, anger, anxiety, drug/alcohol issues, domestic/dating violence, trauma, self-esteem, depression, stress, parenting, and family relationships.
Childhood experiences define who we are and how we respond to challenges as adults, so it is important for me to connect with the whole person. It is my passion to learn your history, and help uncover the tools you already possess to reshape your future.
