Great to meet you!

I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida, North Carolina (virtual) and South Carolina (virtual). I have been working in private practice for seven years and my case load has always consisted of adults, teens, couples and families.

I’m a curious, deep thinking, recovering perfectionist who has spent the last seven years learning about anxiety, self-worth and emotional regulation.I specialize in working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, OCD, depression and/or are experiencing feelings of hopeless as they try to navigate their intense thoughts and emotions.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My clients are typically creative, highly capable souls who all of a sudden find themselves unable to shake off the overwhelm or big emotional responses. I specialize in counseling individuals with stress, anxiety, OCD and emotional overwhelm. I also work with couples and families who experience disconnection or conflict.

I view counseling as a collaborative process between the client and therapist. We will establish your goals collaboratively and seek to meet these goals during the therapeutic process. I work from a person-centered approach, seeking to provide you with a safe, warm, creative, non-judgmental environment so that you can freely explore your thoughts and feelings about what is concerning you. I provide you with practical tools while we explore a deeper understanding of problems.

What you can expect from our first session

In our work together, I hope to provide you with a feeling of being understood, confident coping, and a greater sense of your strengths.

We will work on increasing creative skills to help you navigate your thoughts, emotions and behaviors with confidence so that you don’t feel as hopeless against them. As the symptoms decrease, we can also work on some of the deeper root causes if applicable to these issues. I enjoy helping clients know how relationships, self beliefs and experiences have influenced them so that they can have more freedom in how they want to move forward in life. My goal is that you will walk away not only experiencing your negative symptoms less, but that you’ll also be surprised at how much you’ve learned about your strengths, resiliency and your ability to grow.
