Hi, I’m Rebecca! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State. I graduated with my Master's Degree in Social Work in May 2019 and became licensed in September 2019. I have experience in geriatric social work in a nursing home setting, a halfway house working with women released from prison with a history of addiction, and in an outpatient mental health and addiction clinic. I am currently working with individuals 18+.
My approach to therapy is warm, client-centered, and strengths-based. I see clients as an expert to their own lives, and I try to tailor my practice to whatever you are needing. I focus on trying to build a strong therapeutic relationship and helping you gain insight, while supporting you in making meaningful changes.
I meet my clients where they are at. Some sessions may focus on processing current stressors, and others may focus more on tools and strategies.
Our first session will be about me getting to know you- your background, what brings you into therapy, and what you are hoping to get out of it. You can share as much or as little as you are comfortable with, and we can begin to identify possible goals. I will go over limits of confidentiality, how I typically run sessions, and answer any questions you may have. Our first session is also a chance for you to see if I feel like the right therapist for you. If you aren't sure where to start, I am here to guide you along the way.
