Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over 18 years of experience in the field of social work. I earned my Master of Social Work from Stony Brook University in 2007. My professional background includes extensive work with children and adolescence with severe emotional disabilities, supporting them in navigating daily life and strengthening their ability to manage complex symptoms. I also have experience working with adults up to age 65, helping individuals facing a range of mental health challenges to improve their functioning and overall quality of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and strength-based. Together, we will work toward your goals and focus on improving your daily functioning in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable to you. Using a humanistic approach, I help clients recognize and build upon their existing strengths while developing practical tools to manage life‘s challenges. Through empathy, validation, and guidance, I support you in learning skills you can use independently. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+ issues, low self-esteem, social/relationship concerns, or other mental health challenges, we will work through them together at your pace.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we will spend time getting to know one another; establishing an environment of trust and understanding. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and begin identifying short and long-term goals to guide our work together.
