Great to meet you!

I began my professional career as a high school teacher where I discovered that working with teens and young adults to identify and achieve their goals is my passion. Through a variety of professional experiences with people throughout the lifespan, I learned that this population in particular is underserved. For that reason, I left the world of test scores and grade point averages to become a therapist.

My approach to therapy

Essentially, I see myself as a mirror encouraging my clients to confront their issues and a teammate assisting my clients to embrace and harness their innate strength and power to move forward even when choices seem limited. I employ an eclectic approach with my clients, though I am strongly influenced by Dialectical Behavior Therapy and the strengths-based perspective. Central to my practice is my belief that healing and growth come from learning to accept what is in order to make changes.

What you can expect from me

If you or your child have been having trouble finding your direction or feeling powerless to your current situation, please reach out to me! You can count on me to always be a nonjudgmental but honest and straightforward partner in your treatment. My intention is not to tell you what to do to make things better but to work together to find the most effective path to success and contentment.
