Rebecca Villegas

I am a licensed clinical social worker with about 8-9 years of experience working in the mental health field. I graduated with my masters in social work from Loyola University Chicago. I am bilingual; half Mexican, half Bolivian, born and raised on the North-West side of Chicago.

I am a warm-hearted, witty soul, deeply passionate about mental health advocacy, working with people in understanding their minds, behaviors, hearts, and the overall human experience we live day by day. I have always taken in interest in helping people with a mission in leaving them better than how I found them. With much of my own experience in navigating loss, mental health, and self-esteem, I feel that this work has been healing for myself in becoming more self-aware and accountable of how I show up.

Some of my specialties include, but are not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, and crisis intervention. My hope is to create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment where the space feels collaborative, supportive, and empowering.

Expect to show up imperfect and as authentic as you are. My hope is to create a warm space, get to know you, and eventually set a good tone and speed where clients can and will build emotional awareness, strengthen their communication skills, develop practical tools that help support meaningful change, sharpen their skills and create healthy habits for healing.
