Great to meet you!

I earned an M.S. in counseling from Johns Hopkins University in 1997. I have studied body-centered modalities like Hakomi, nature-based models like Bill Plotkin's Map of the Psyche, and trauma-informed perspectives like NARM. I am the author of Wild Yoga: A Practice of Initiation, Veneration, & Advocacy for the Earth. I am also the creator of the practice of Wild Yoga and a RYT-500 Yoga Teacher. I have led Wild Yoga retreats and worked as a soul guide with the Animas Valley Institute since 2007.

My approach to therapy

I support clients in strengthening their capacity to love themselves, increasing their mindfulness, and expanding their perception. I help people heal, become whole, and connect to their purpose. I help clients become aware of self-defeating patterns to get unstuck and explore trauma and loss with a tender ear. Gifts exist amidst our wounds and sensitivities. I help people find their creative power and connection to their soul or deepest self.

What you can expect from me

I ask clients what they want from our time together. I work with the unconscious by tracking what is arising in each person's body, heart, and imagination so a person's strengths and who they are at the core can be made conscious. I engage in dream work. I bring mindfulness techniques to relax the nervous system.
