Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Rebecca Winfrey, LICSW, and I bring over 16 years of experience as a behavioral health provider supporting Black women, young adults, and children. My work is grounded in creating a safe and brave space where you can show up as your true, authentic self, without judgment, pressure, or the need to have it all together.

I currently offer virtual sessions, providing a compassionate and flexible space for healing and growth. My approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration, because healing happens when we feel seen, supported, and human. If you’re ready to start showing up for yourself in new ways, I’d be honored to walk with you.

My approach to therapy

I help clients navigate family challenges, relational and childhood trauma, career goals, and behavioral issues stemming from stress or past pain. My approach is psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive, blending talk therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based techniques.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a welcoming and judgment-free space where we focus on getting to know you, not just your challenges, but also your strengths, values, and hopes. We’ll explore what brought you to therapy, discuss your goals, and talk through what a supportive and effective therapeutic relationship looks like for you. I’ll also answer any questions you have about the process so you leave feeling informed, understood, and empowered to move forward at your own pace.
