Great to meet you!

Thank you for viewing my profile. My name is Rebecca Zeiser, LPCC. I have been working with youth in the mental health sector for 15 years, as a licensed therapist for 12 years. I have a bachelor's degree in family studies and a master's degree in mental health counseling. I completed my internship providing therapy for youth in therapeutic foster care and running partial hospitalization groups. I have experience working on a youth psychiatric crisis residential unit, at a therapeutic day school, and in a school-based setting. I also work in a clinical lead position for a therapeutic day camp.

Although my experience has been working with youth and their caregivers, I am excited to now be accepting and working with adult clients.

I have completed training and supervision requirements for trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy. I have completed training to administer the ADOS-2. I am a certified clinical trauma professional and autism spectrum disorder clinical specialist.

I love working with individuals to help them be successful and flourish. I look forward to working with you!

My approach to therapy

I practice through a cognitive-behavioral lens. I am a firm believer that the same approach and interventions are not effective for everyone. I work with clients to use their strengths, needs, and personalities to find the strategies that work for them.

When working with youth, you have to be creative and bring in interventions that will be engaging and effective. I include interventions from play therapy, art therapy, and mindfulness. I also believe that for a child to make progress and lasting changes, the guardians and family system must be willing to work together to increase positive and effective strategies and healthy relationships.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be for you and I to learn more about each other and what is wanted from treatment. I will also be identifying personal strengths and exploring current self-awareness, coping strategies, and needs.
