Great to meet you!

I am a licensed mental health counselor with 16 years of experience providing treatment within juvenile legal settings, outpatient mental health clinics, and crisis intervention. I specialize in helping people suffering with major depressive disorder, personality disorders, anxiety, trauma related symptoms, religious identity conflicts, issues with self-esteem, and complex personal struggles related to racial and ethnic oppression, as well as recovery from being in high control groups.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I use a collaborative, multi-modal approach, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness practices to help you learn to respond to life’s hurdles in a skillful way. Together, we will work to identify factors and situations contributing to suffering and work towards gaining a sense of control and wellbeing.

What you can expect from our first session

Some people like clinical tasks in between sessions, some do not. At first session, we will talk about what works for you. Regardless, after each session, you will deepen your understanding of the challenge at hand and have specific, measurable next steps to focus on, to help you move towards your goals.
