Rebekah Tatro

I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience supporting children, families, and adults across a wide range of settings—including schools, hospitals, crisis intervention services, the court system, insurance providers, and residential programs. My journey into clinical social work began in the classroom, where I worked as a special education teacher with students on IEPs and those involved with DCF. That experience inspired me to pursue a Master’s in Social Work so I could better understand and connect with the students and families I served.

My therapeutic work is grounded in evidence-based practices, and I am comfortable drawing from a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, art and play therapy, and attachment-focused and systems-based interventions. I’m especially passionate about exploring family dynamics, identity, and the impact of early relationships on present experiences.

I bring an open-minded, inquisitive, and warm approach to therapy. I believe that meaningful change starts with feeling seen and heard, and I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where people can explore their stories at their own pace. I’m patient, flexible, and genuinely enjoy finding creative and individualized ways to engage with each person I work with. Above all, I aim to meet people where they are—honoring their strengths, challenges, and unique paths to healing.
