Great to meet you!

I'm Regina. An outgoing, funny and compassionate middle aged female with a southern Virginia accent. I became a mental health counselor after learning too many life lessons of my own and overcoming the hardships from those life lessons. I am enthusiastic about helping others to overcome their own obstacles and hardships. I believe in accepting people where they are in life without judgement and listening to what is important to them to create a better life.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My main therapeutic approach is always Person Centered Therapy with a focus on changing thought processes through CBT Therapy in combination with Motivational Interviewing techniques and Solution Focused Brief therapy. I'm a firm believer in finding the positives, focusing on the present and future and setting reachable goals to create a lasting change within lives.

I am also a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor that would love to assist you through dependency and addiction struggles.

What you can expect from our first session

When you work with me, you can expect someone who listens intently, gets excited for you and will speak honestly to you about your situation. I will help you discover what has worked for you in the past and what has not, to help us make realistic, reachable goals that are obtainable.

Typically, no matter the situation, my clients will leave from me feeling better than they did before they arrived. I take pride in this because it's my goal to serve you and to help you create a better life!
