Great to meet you!

I’m a licensed psychologist and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience working with adults across a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, sexuality, identity, life transitions, and more complex or longstanding emotional and interpersonal patterns.

I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology and have additional training in psychological assessment, sex therapy, experiential therapies, and a variety of evidence-based and relational approaches to treatment. My background as both a psychologist and LMFT gives me a broad perspective on individual functioning, relationships, and the ways our experiences shape how we understand ourselves and connect with others.

I enjoy working with clients who are thoughtful, curious about themselves, and interested in making meaningful changes in their lives, relationships, and overall sense of well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, direct, experiential, and highly individualized. I do not believe there is one therapy model that works for everyone, so I draw from existential-humanistic, relational, attachment-based, experiential, cognitive behavioral, and acceptance-based approaches depending on the person and what they are hoping to change.

I pay attention not only to symptoms, but also to the patterns underneath them: how you relate to yourself, how you connect with other people, what you have learned from past relationships and experiences, and what may be keeping you stuck in the present.

Therapy with me tends to involve a combination of insight, honest conversation, humor when appropriate, and practical change. I want clients to understand themselves more deeply, but I also want that understanding to translate into something meaningful in their everyday lives.

I am especially comfortable working with topics related to relationships, sex, identity development, depression, anxiety, and complex emotional or interpersonal concerns. My goal is to create a space where clients can speak openly, including about things that may feel difficult, uncomfortable, or hard to discuss elsewhere.

What you can expect from me

The first session is a chance for us to get a clear sense of what brings you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, and what you would like to be different. I will ask questions about your current concerns, relationships, history, and patterns, but the conversation is collaborative rather than a checklist or interrogation.

You do not need to arrive with everything figured out. Part of the work is identifying what feels most important and beginning to understand what may be contributing to the difficulties you are experiencing.

By the end of the first session, my goal is for us to have a shared understanding of what you want from therapy, an initial sense of the areas we may focus on, and whether we feel like a good fit to work together.

I try to create an environment that is warm, open, direct, and comfortable enough for honesty. Clients can expect curiosity, thoughtful questions, and room for humor when it fits.
