Great to meet you!

You may be feeling stuck in the same arguments, disconnected from your partner, overwhelmed by stress, or simply ready for something to change. I specialize in working with couples and relationships, helping partners strengthen communication, navigate conflict, rebuild connection, and better understand one another. I also work with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation challenges, life transitions, and performance pressure. As a military service member, I also understand the unique demands that military life can place on individuals, couples, and families. My style is warm, conversational, and practical. I want therapy to feel like a space where you can be yourself, feel understood, and develop tools that create meaningful change in your everyday life.

My approach to therapy

My approach is practical, collaborative, and solution-oriented. I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Strength-Based Therapy with couples, teens, and adults.

In session, I use CBT to help clients recognize and change unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, Motivational Interviewing and SFBT to identify strengths, overcome barriers, and create realistic steps toward change, and mindfulness-based strategies to increase emotional awareness and intentional responses. With couples, I use EFT and the Gottman Method to help partners understand the emotions underneath conflict, recognize recurring relationship patterns, improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen connection.

My experience includes supporting clients through relationship difficulties, stress, trauma and PTSD, grief, cultural and identity concerns, and other life challenges. My style is open-minded, strengths-based, and conversational, and I believe there is room for appropriate humor while doing meaningful therapeutic work.

What you can expect from me

Your first session will follow a simple format: we’ll start with introductions and what brought you to therapy, spend time understanding your concerns and goals, and end by discussing what you’d like our work together to focus on. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences, relationships, strengths, and current challenges, but you are always in control of what you’re comfortable sharing and how quickly we move.

For couples, both partners will have space to share their perspective as we begin identifying strengths, communication patterns, concerns, and shared goals. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out or tell your whole story in the first session. My goal is for you to feel heard, comfortable with the process, and clear about what our next steps could look like.
