Great to meet you!

  • For nearly 30 years, I have had the privilege of helping individuals and couples through difficult and important periods of their lives. My approach is warm, thoughtful, collaborative, and active. I listen carefully, ask meaningful questions, and offer honest, practical feedback while creating a space where you can feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood.
  • What defines my practice is the balance that I bring to the therapeutic relationship: compassion and honesty, acceptance and appropriate challenge, insight and practical change.

My approach to therapy

  • Life can be challenging, and even capable, successful people can sometimes feel anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about how to move forward. Whether you are struggling with a relationship, trauma, grief, or a major life transition, therapy can help you understand what is happening beneath the surface and create meaningful change.
  • Together, we look at the immediate concerns bringing you to therapy as well as the deeper patterns, experiences, and beliefs that may be keeping you stuck. My work integrates Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Relational Therapy, and Mind-Body Awareness.
  • I also work extensively with couples who want to improve communication, repair trust, resolve recurring conflicts, and deepen emotional connection. I help partners move beyond cycles of blame, defensiveness, withdrawal, or control toward greater understanding, respect, and intimacy.
  • I want you to leave with greater self-understanding, trust in your own judgment, healthier ways of managing difficult situations and emotions, stronger communication and boundaries, and confidence in your ability to face future challenges and make choices that reflect who you are and the life you want.

What you can expect from me

  • If you are considering therapy, I invite you to contact me for a complimentary 15-minute consultation. I would be glad to learn what is bringing you to therapy, answer your questions, and explore whether we would be a good fit to work together.
  • In our first full session together, the goal is that you will feel deeply understood and comfortable in this safe space.
