Rekita Jackson

Hello. My name is Rekita Jackson and I am the owner of 2nd Chances Better Choices Counseling and Consulting Services. I'm a Licenced Professional Counselor and also hold certifications in Grief Couseling and Anger Management. I have over 20 years of experience in helping people within the behavioral / mental health community.

I specialize in individual, family and group counseling. My particular interests are working with individuals who are struggling with personal life stressors, depression, anxiety, anger, grief, substance abuse and re-entry counseling.

My approach to therapy is to empower and provide therapeutic support to strengthen individuals and families to live a healthy and purposeful life. Through my own personal experiences, I know first hand that in life we all experience challenges/stressful events. But, it is how we respond to the situation that will determine the outcome.

My desire to help individuals take time and rationally think through situations and make sound decisions.

My style of practice is direct, interactive, challenging, and compassionate. I focus on skill building and enhancing personal strengths. I strive to create a relaxed and comfortable space in which people feel free to express themselves without fear of judgement.
