I am a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, receiving my Doctor of Nursing Practice in Psychiatry degree from Columbia University in 2022. I am professionally trained in assessing, diagnosing and treating mental illness with holistic and compassionate care, specializing in psychiatric medication management.
In treating mental illness, it is my passion to provide holistic and patient-centered care. I utilize supportive psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and harm reduction to assist clients with reaching their mental health goals with or without the use of psychiatric medications. I also integrate physical health and lifestyle modifications in patient's collaborative treatment plans to better improve patient's lives.
After a session with me, clients should have a better understanding of their mental health diagnosis as well as recommended psychotropic medications in an empathetic, safe and nonjudgmental environment. The benefits and risks of any recommended psychiatric treatment will be discussed as well as alternative treatment options.
