Great to meet you!

I am a dedicated and hands-on therapist with a background in DC’s citywide crisis response, which has given me extensive experience supporting individuals during some of their most challenging moments. I bring a calm, practical, and solution-focused approach to therapy while also incorporating humor when appropriate to help clients feel comfortable and understood. My work focuses on advocacy, emotional support, and helping clients develop the skills needed to navigate life’s challenges. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, respected.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping clients build practical skills to manage life’s challenges. I often use a crisis-response framework when needed while incorporating Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to help clients develop healthier thinking patterns and coping strategies. My style is direct but compassionate, emphasizing problem-solving, emotional regulation, and identifying strengths that clients can use to move forward. I work with clients to create realistic goals and support them in making meaningful, sustainable changes in their daily lives.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a welcoming and supportive environment during their first session. I use humor, reflective listening, and empathy to help clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences and concerns. Together, we begin identifying key problems and patterns that may be affecting their well-being. The goal of the first session is to build understanding and start developing a clear direction for treatment and personal growth.
