Great to meet you!

My clients should know that therapy with me is a safe and supportive space where they are treated with respect, compassion, and understanding. I believe in the power of connection and in creating an environment where you can speak freely without fear of judgment, especially when life feels overwhelming due to stress, anxiety, burnout, depression, trauma, or relationship challenges. I am here to listen, understand your story, and help you explore the thoughts, emotions, and experiences that shape your life.

I understand that pressure to succeed, financial strain, workplace stress, social isolation, loss, or uncertainty about the future can take a toll on emotional well being. You may feel exhausted, stuck, emotionally disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. Therapy can be a space to pause, reflect, gain insight, and develop healthier ways of coping so you can regain balance, confidence, and a sense of control.

I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative and client centered. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to guide, support, and empower you as you work toward healing and growth. Beginning therapy can be courageous and emotional. You may be unsure of what to expect or may be seeking something different from past experiences. My goal is to help you feel seen, validated, and encouraged as we work through challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship stress, grief, trauma, anger, or major life transitions. I believe progress happens through awareness, self compassion, and consistent effort.

I am deeply committed to helping you build tools to manage life’s difficulties and strengthen confidence and inner peace. Core beliefs shape how we cope, and together we will identify patterns and develop healthier responses. I have been a social worker for thirteen years working in various fields, and I genuinely love helping people. Above all, you are not alone. I am here to walk alongside you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is holistic, collaborative, and grounded in genuine human connection. I believe healing happens when clients feel seen, heard, and understood without judgment, especially when life feels overwhelming due to stress, anxiety, burnout, trauma, or major life transitions. I create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore emotions, behaviors, and patterns while developing practical tools to create meaningful change.

I use an eclectic, evidence based approach that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and client centered techniques. This allows flexibility in meeting clients where they are emotionally and psychologically. Therapy may involve identifying thought patterns that influence mood, processing distressing or traumatic experiences, strengthening emotional regulation, and building effective coping strategies that support balance, confidence, and daily functioning.

I view therapy as a partnership built on trust, respect, and collaboration. Together, we work to understand the root causes of distress, process past and present experiences, and set clear, realistic goals for personal growth and emotional stability. My approach encourages self awareness, self compassion, and resilience, while honoring each client’s cultural, relational, and lived experiences. Ultimately, my goal is to help clients feel more grounded, empowered, and connected to themselves, supporting them as they create healthier relationships, boundaries, and coping strategies that align with their values and long term well being.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a calm, supportive, and judgment free space where we begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. This time is focused on getting to know you, understanding what brought you to therapy, and identifying the goals you hope to achieve. I will listen closely as you share what has been challenging for you and what changes you would like to see in your life.

We will explore relevant background information, including family relationships, life stressors, and experiences that may influence how you manage emotions, stress, and connection with others. I may ask questions to better understand your coping skills, strengths, and support systems. You are encouraged to share at your own pace, and there is no expectation to have everything figured out. The session is a safe space where we take our time to build understanding and trust.

I will also explain what to expect from therapy, review confidentiality, and answer any questions you may have about the process. Together, we will begin outlining your goals and discuss how therapy can support your needs, whether that involves managing anxiety, improving relationships, processing trauma, or finding balance.

By the end of your first session, you can expect to leave with a sense of direction, relief, and reassurance that you are taking meaningful steps toward healing and personal growth. My hope is that you feel supported, respected, and encouraged as we begin your journey toward emotional wellness and self discovery.
