Great to meet you!

When you step into therapy with me, you will find a collaborative, deeply respectful, and warm space tailored to your unique lived experience. Our work is built on a foundation of genuine interpersonal connection, offering a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where you can feel truly seen and heard.

Together, we will incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness practices to help you untangle from difficult thoughts, step out of autopilot, and clarify what genuinely matters to you. Because our minds and bodies are deeply connected, we will also use somatic (body-based) awareness to help you process stress and emotion where it physically lingers. Finally, we will use the therapeutic relationship itself as a safe, real-time space to explore relational patterns, build secure connections, and practice new, healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.

My approach to therapy

Together, we will address life’s most complex challenges by working with the whole person. By blending interpersonal warmth with evidence-based strategies like ACT, mindfulness, and somatic awareness, we can gently and effectively address the specific areas holding you back. Here is how we will approach these challenges together:

RELATIONSHIPS are where our deepest wounds and our greatest opportunities for healing live. Using a warm, interpersonal approach, we will look at the relational patterns, communication habits, and attachment dynamics that may be keeping you feeling stuck or disconnected.

When major LIFE TRANSITIONS hit or stress accumulates, it is easy to fall into "autopilot" coping mechanisms and unhealthy habits. Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness, we will work to identify the triggers behind these habits without judgment. Instead of fighting your impulses, we will learn to step back from difficult thoughts, sit with uncomfortable urges, and consciously pivot your choices toward actions that align with your deepest personal values.

Living with CHRONIC ILLNESS or PAIN can feel like being at war with your own body. Our approach focuses on restoring a sense of peace and agency. Through somatic awareness and mindfulness, we will shift how you relate to physical discomfort—moving away from the exhausting cycle of resistance and toward gentle containment. We will work on calming the nervous system and finding meaningful ways to live a rich, purposeful life.

TRAUMA prints itself directly onto the nervous system. We will establish a warm, deeply secure space where you feel entirely safe to explore your story. Using somatic and grounding techniques, we will help your body unlearn the survival states allowing you to reclaim a sense of safety, vitality, and control.

What you can expect from me

  1. Right from our very first meeting, we will establish a warm, collaborative, and highly active space. While I am here to hold a compassionate and secure container for your story—including trauma and somatic stress—we will dive right in with a focused assessment. Together, we will efficiently identify what is currently keeping you stuck, examine which patterns are no longer serving you, and pinpoint exactly where you want to see tangible progress.

2. Identifying Your Blueprint for "Getting Better"

Because your time and investment are valuable, we don't treat therapy as an open-ended chat. We will collaborate immediately on concrete, goal-directed outcomes. We will define what tangible progress looks like for you—whether that is managing chronic pain, breaking unhealthy habits, resolving relational distress, or processing trauma—so we both know exactly what we are measuring against.

3. A Practical Roadmap (ACT, Somatic, & Relational)

I’ll give you a clear look at how we will work together. We will map out how we’ll use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and somatic (body-based) processing as active, practical tools. You’ll understand how these methods target your nervous system and behavior to create efficient, lasting change, rather than just talking about your problems week after week.

4. Actionable Momentum Leaving Day One

My goal is for you to walk out of our very first session with a sense of clarity and momentum. We will establish initial, actionable next steps or focus areas for the week ahead, ensuring that your healing process begins the moment you leave the room.
