Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 30 years of experience helping adults navigate trauma, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the stress that comes with being human. Trauma is my specialty, but I work with a wide range of concerns and presentations, because people (and brains) are wonderfully complex. My style is warm, collaborative, and practical—and I’m a proud therapy nerd who’s always learning and using what actually helps. I offer telehealth sessions and move at a pace that feels supportive, comfortable, and real.

My approach to therapy

My approach is integrative, collaborative, and practical. I draw from multiple therapeutic models rather than sticking to just one, and I tailor therapy to each individual rather than expecting clients to fit a specific framework. I’m always learning, updating my training, and—very proudly—a bit of a therapy nerd. If something works and is supported by good science, I’m open to using it.

I believe clients deserve to understand why we’re doing what we’re doing. Whether it’s a coping skill, a piece of homework, or psychoeducation about the nervous system, I can explain the science behind it in clear, relatable terms. My goal is not just symptom relief, but helping clients feel more informed, empowered, and confident in their ability to manage what’s happening in their mind and body.

Therapy with me is a balance of insight, skill-building, and real-life application—always at a pace that feels manageable and respectful of where you are.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and not overwhelmed. We’ll talk about what’s been bringing you in, what you’re hoping for, and what support might be most helpful right now—at a pace that feels right to you. I’ll ask some questions, listen closely, and help us identify a few starting goals or focus areas. You don’t need to have everything figured out; this first meeting is about creating a safe, supportive place to begin.
