Great to meet you!

I’m Renee Richman, an LCSW who works with older teens and adults navigating anxiety, complex trauma, depression, eating disorders, and borderline personality disorder. My goal is to help clients move from overwhelm toward greater clarity, confidence, and connection in their lives.

In my work, I strive to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and safe enough to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. I’m deeply committed to meeting each person where they are and honoring the unique experiences and challenges they bring to therapy.

My approach to therapy

My approach blends cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, psychodynamic exploration, and solution-focused strategies. This allows us to both understand the deeper “why” behind patterns and develop practical tools that can help you manage challenges in the present.

I believe healing is not linear, and meaningful change often happens through small, consistent steps. I emphasize a collaborative therapeutic relationship and work alongside clients to explore their experiences, strengthen insight, and build skills that support lasting growth. My work is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s individual story.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for our work together. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you’re currently facing, and what you hope to gain from the process.

My priority in that first meeting is helping you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. There’s no pressure to share everything at once, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. Together, we’ll start identifying goals and discussing how therapy can support you in moving toward a life that feels more intentional and aligned with who you want to be.
