Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Renesha, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with more than 13 years of experience supporting adults through life’s challenges and transitions. I work with couples and adults of all ages, from young adulthood through later life, with a focus on anxiety, trauma, relationships, depression, communication difficulties, and major life changes.

My background includes advanced training in EMDR and trauma-informed care, along with extensive experience helping people navigate both personal and relationship concerns. My style is warm, direct, and practical. I want therapy to be a space where you can be yourself, feel understood, and have honest conversations that lead to meaningful change.

Whether you’re trying to strengthen your relationship, heal from past experiences, manage anxiety, or simply feel more like yourself again, we’ll work together to understand what’s keeping you stuck and help you move forward.

My approach to therapy

Therapy with me is collaborative, honest, and focused on helping you understand not only what you're experiencing, but why certain patterns keep showing up. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate CBT, attachment-based therapy, Gottman-informed techniques, EMDR, and trauma-informed care.

We'll explore the connection between your experiences, emotions, relationships, and behaviors while also developing practical tools you can use outside of our sessions. I'll support you, but I'll also challenge you when needed so we can move beyond simply talking about the problem and begin creating meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy, what’s been going on, and what you hope will change. Through telehealth, I create a comfortable, welcoming space where you can talk openly from wherever you feel most at ease. We’ll begin identifying your goals, exploring patterns or challenges that may be getting in the way, and discussing what you would like to get out of therapy. You can also expect time to ask questions and make sure you feel comfortable with me and the direction of our work together.
