Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Dr. Renesha Nichols, DSW, LCSW. I specialize in working with individuals who feel stuck, hopeless, or uncertain about their path forward. My passion is helping clients find direction, clarity, and restoration of self, particularly after life-changing experiences such as divorce, breakups, conflict, abandonment, or rejection.

I have extensive experience supporting single parents and adults navigating depression, anxiety, or the impact of past trauma. My approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered, with a focus on creating a safe space where you can process challenges, rebuild self-confidence, and discover practical strategies for healing and growth.

Whether you are feeling weighed down by life transitions, searching for clarity, or working to reclaim your sense of self, my goal is to walk alongside you in your journey toward resilience, peace, and personal restoration.

My approach to therapy

My style is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be fully yourself while exploring challenges and building a path forward. I take a solution-focused, goal-oriented approach, which means we’ll work together to identify what’s most important to you and develop clear, practical steps that help you move toward your goals.

What you can expect from me

Many of the clients I work with come in feeling weighed down by negative thinking, self-doubt, sadness, irritability, or constant worry. Others feel stuck in cycles of hopelessness, lack of motivation, or stress that interferes with daily life and relationships. Together, we break these challenges down into manageable steps.

Typical outcomes we focus on include reducing the intensity of negative thoughts, building healthier coping strategies, improving communication and boundaries, restoring self-confidence, and regaining a sense of balance and direction. My ultimate goal is to help you move from feeling overwhelmed and discouraged to feeling hopeful, empowered, and more in control of your life.
