Great to meet you!

Greetings! I’m Dr. Renita Newton, and I'm so glad you’re here.I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas with a Ph.D. in Counselor Education, and I’m honored to walk alongside individuals who are navigating life’s challenges and seeking deeper healing, clarity, and peace. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in compassion. I specialize in working with anxiety, stress management, and the everyday concerns that can sometimes feel overwhelming. Whether you’re feeling stuck, disconnected, or simply need space to breathe and be heard, I’m here to support you with empathy and care.

In addition to traditional talk therapy, I’m a certified mindfulness meditation and sound healing practitioner. I integrate holistic practices when appropriate to help clients feel more grounded, centered, and empowered in their healing journey.

Therapy with me is a judgment-free space where your story matters, your feelings are valid, and your growth is honored. If you’re ready to take that next step toward healing, I’m here—ready to meet you exactly where you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is person-centered, holistic, and culturally affirming. I believe in meeting each client where they are, with compassion, curiosity, and care. I tailor sessions to fit your unique needs, drawing from evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness and strengths-based approaches, and solution-focused work, while also honoring the mind-body connection through integrative techniques such as meditation and sound healing when appropriate.

At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens in safe, authentic relationships. I prioritize creating a supportive space where you can show up fully—without judgment—and explore your thoughts, emotions, and life experiences at your own pace.

Whether you're managing anxiety, adjusting to life changes, or just needing space to reconnect with yourself, therapy with me is collaborative, empowering, and rooted in the belief that you are capable of meaningful growth and lasting transformation.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions with me feeling seen, supported, and empowered. Together, we’ll explore what’s weighing on your heart and mind, and work toward building clarity, confidence, and tools you can carry into your daily life. Whether it’s learning how to manage anxiety, create healthier boundaries, or simply make space to just be, my goal is for you to leave each session feeling a little more grounded and connected to yourself.

You’ll walk away with practical coping strategies and emotional insight, but most importantly, with a growing sense of self-trust and the reassurance that you don’t have to navigate life alone. As we continue, my hope is that you’ll begin to feel more at home within yourself—more grounded, more hopeful, and more equipped to face whatever life brings with clarity and confidence.
