Great to meet you!

I believe it's possible to feel more at peace with yourself, even when life feels complicated or overwhelming. I've been working in the mental health field since 1999, with experience in schools, crisis intervention, trauma recovery, and private practice. Over the years, I've supported children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, difficult relationships, and major life changes. My background has taught me that everyone brings their own strengths, experiences, and ways of making sense of the world. I approach therapy with compassion, curiosity, and creativity, and I want our work together to feel like a genuine partnership. My hope is to help you better understand yourself, find your footing, and begin seeing possibilities where things may have once felt stuck.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy should be both thoughtful and practical. We'll take time to understand what you're experiencing, explore patterns that may be contributing to your challenges, and identify what matters most to you. My approach is collaborative and flexible, drawing from evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and strengths-based therapy, while also making room for creativity and individual expression. I don't believe there's one right way to work through life's difficulties, so I'll adapt our conversations and strategies to your needs. Together, we'll set realistic goals, build on the strengths you already have, and work toward changes that feel meaningful and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. I'll want to hear about what's been happening in your life, what feels most challenging right now, and what you're hoping might change. We'll also talk about your strengths, what's helped you through difficult times, and what you'd like to focus on moving forward. You don't need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. We'll start with what's important to you, take things at a pace that feels comfortable, and begin building a foundation for our work together.
