The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin exploring what brings you to therapy. I understand that starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and my goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace.
We'll talk about what you're currently experiencing, what feels challenging, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I may ask questions about your relationships, personal history, and patterns of thinking and feeling to better understand your experiences.
My approach is collaborative, and I believe therapy should be tailored to your individual needs. Together, we'll begin identifying your strengths, exploring patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and discussing practical ways to help you move toward meaningful change.
You don't need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. The first session is simply a starting point, and we'll move at a pace that feels right for you.
