Great to meet you!

I always knew that I wanted to be a helping professional. As part of an assignment while taking a counseling course designed to assist offenders with substance abuse problems, I had to write in five words or less what I wanted people to remember about me. My words were “helped people live better lives.” I have over 30 years of experience working with clients who live with psychiatric and substance use disorders. I would love the opportunity to help you live a better, healthier life!

My approach to therapy

I consider myself to be an eclectic therapist, using strategies from a number of great theorists to assist my clients on their path to wellness. I am a strong advocate for using the polyvagal approach in EMDR and IFS modalities.

What you can expect from me

We either feel safe to genuinely and authentically connect with ourselves and others or we spend our lives living in fight or flight(survival)mode. My objective as your therapist would be to create a space for you to safely connect with all aspects of who you are so that you can live your life boldly and authentically with self and others!
