Starting therapy can feel a little uncertain — you don’t have to have everything figured out before you come in.
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you. You can share what’s been coming up for you, what brought you to therapy, and anything you feel is important. There’s no pressure to tell your whole story all at once — we’ll go at your pace.
I’ll ask some questions to better understand your experiences, your relationships, and what you’ve been carrying, so I can support you in a way that actually fits you.
A big part of our first session will also include a brief introduction to breathwork and how I help you slow down. Many of us move through life in our heads, trying to think our way through everything. Together, we’ll begin practicing how to slow the body down so it can catch up with the mind.
You can expect me to gently guide you to notice what you’re feeling in real time — not just what happened, but how it’s showing up inside you. This is where a lot of the shift begins.
This space is for all of your emotions — even the ones that are harder to talk about, like anger, shame, or fear. You don’t have to filter yourself here.
By the end of the session, we’ll:
- Identify what you’d like support with
- Begin shaping goals (even if they’re still forming)
- Make sure the space feels like a good fit for you
Most importantly, this first session is about helping you feel comfortable. You don’t have to perform, impress, or have the “right” words.
You just have to show up.
