Great to meet you!

I show up as a real, engaged therapist who is focused on helping you understand what’s happening beneath the surface — not just talk about it.

I create space for all emotions, including ones that are often hard to express like anger and shame. I’ll support you, but also gently challenge you in ways that help you grow.

I value slowing things down so you can better understand yourself and respond to life with more clarity and intention.

My approach to therapy

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who believes that most people don’t struggle because they don’t know better — they struggle because their nervous system hasn’t caught up yet.

My work is rooted in helping you slow down, understand what you’re feeling, and build a stronger relationship with yourself. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, identity exploration, and emotional overwhelm.

I also create space for the emotions we’re often taught to hide — like anger, shame, and resentment. These aren’t “bad” emotions; they’re signals. In our work together, you won’t be judged for what you feel. Instead, we’ll get curious about it so you can understand what your emotions are trying to communicate, rather than feeling controlled by them.

As a Black male therapist, I’m especially passionate about creating a space where people of color feel seen, understood, and safe enough to be real. At the same time, my work is for anyone who is ready to stop surviving and start responding to life with more clarity and intention.

Clients often come to me feeling stuck in patterns — overthinking, people-pleasing, shutting down, or reacting in ways they later regret. Together, we slow things down and get curious about what’s underneath those patterns so you can move through life with more control, confidence, and peace.

This is a space where you don’t have to perform. You get to show up exactly as you are.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel a little uncertain — you don’t have to have everything figured out before you come in.

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you. You can share what’s been coming up for you, what brought you to therapy, and anything you feel is important. There’s no pressure to tell your whole story all at once — we’ll go at your pace.

I’ll ask some questions to better understand your experiences, your relationships, and what you’ve been carrying, so I can support you in a way that actually fits you.

A big part of our first session will also include a brief introduction to breathwork and how I help you slow down. Many of us move through life in our heads, trying to think our way through everything. Together, we’ll begin practicing how to slow the body down so it can catch up with the mind.

You can expect me to gently guide you to notice what you’re feeling in real time — not just what happened, but how it’s showing up inside you. This is where a lot of the shift begins.

This space is for all of your emotions — even the ones that are harder to talk about, like anger, shame, or fear. You don’t have to filter yourself here.

By the end of the session, we’ll:

  • Identify what you’d like support with
  • Begin shaping goals (even if they’re still forming)
  • Make sure the space feels like a good fit for you

Most importantly, this first session is about helping you feel comfortable. You don’t have to perform, impress, or have the “right” words.

You just have to show up.
