Great to meet you!

At Beautiful Mind Psychiatry, I help adolescents and adults with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and mood disorders through psychiatric evaluation, personalized medication management, and integrative lifestyle strategies.

Before becoming a psychiatric NP, I spent over 25 years working as a registered nurse across acute care, home health, and other settings — experience that shaped how I approach patients today: with patience, attentiveness, and an appreciation for how physical and mental health are intertwined. I also spent two years working at The Meadows, where I learned firsthand how trauma symptoms can overlap with and mimic other mental health conditions, and how essential it is to understand root causes before settling on a diagnosis. I bring that same lens to every evaluation.

I also have personal, lived experience with late-diagnosed ADHD, and I understand firsthand how far-reaching its effects can be — on work, relationships, self-esteem, and daily functioning. That perspective shapes how I listen and how I treat.

My approach to therapy

As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I take time to understand how your symptoms affect your work, relationships, sleep, and daily life. Together we'll develop a treatment plan that may include medication, nutrition, sleep optimization, exercise, targeted supplements, mindfulness, breathwork, and tools — used to help bring the body to a calmer baseline while we work on what's underneath the symptoms. Whether we use natural therapies, medication, or both, the goal is the same: healing root causes, not just managing symptoms.

I have a special place in my heart for supporting women, including those navigating ADHD diagnoses later in life, hormonal transitions, postpartum mental health, and the exhaustion of masking symptoms for years — though I welcome all adults and adolescents seeking attentive, relationship-centered, integrative care.

What you can expect from me

Your first appointment is a 60-minute psychiatric evaluation focused on understanding your current concerns, psychiatric and medical history, previous treatments, and the full picture of factors contributing to your symptoms.

During this visit we'll discuss:

  • Your current symptoms and treatment goals
  • How your current symptoms have impacted your ability to function
  • Past psychiatric and medical history
  • Previous medications and therapies
  • Sleep, stress, nutrition, exercise, and other lifestyle factors
  • Relevant personal and family history as it relates to your mental health

At the end of the evaluation, we'll review:

  • Diagnostic impressions
  • Whether medication may be appropriate
  • The initial evaluation is focused on assessment and treatment planning, so we may not have time to explore every life experience in detail during the first visit. If your history is complex, we'll continue building a deeper understanding over subsequent appointments while ensuring you receive thoughtful, individualized care from the beginning.
  • My goal is for every patient to leave with greater clarity, a well-defined treatment plan, and confidence that we're working together toward meaningful improvement.
