Great to meet you!

I'm is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 15 years of experience helping adults and seniors move through anxiety, depression, trauma, and the strain that relationship and family conflict can bring. I work with warmth, patience, and no judgment, and welcomes you to reach out when you feel ready to start.

My approach to therapy

I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you notice and shift thought patterns that keep you stuck, and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Solution Focused Couples Therapy when relationship or family patterns are part of the picture. I also use Motivational Interviewing to help you find your own reasons to change, Psychoeducational Family Therapy to bring loved ones into the process when that is helpful, and a Strength-Based approach that builds on what is already working for you. Sessions are collaborative: you set the pace, and I adjust the tools to fit what you actually need session to session.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a conversation, not an evaluation. I'll ask about what brought you to therapy now, what you have already tried, and what you hope is different a few months from now. From there we'll build a plan together, one you can revisit and adjust as you go. Most clients leave the first session feeling heard and a little lighter, with a clear sense of what comes next.
