Great to meet you!

After beginning my career at Sacramento Head Start, I developed a passion for supporting young children and their families. I earned degrees in Early Childhood Development and Counseling Psychology, gaining clinical experience in addressing disruptive behaviors. This led to establishing my private practice as Rhonda S. Calvin, LMFT, which I later rebranded as "CULTIVATING A BETTER ME," marking a significant milestone in my career.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My practice offers personalized individual therapy sessions to foster the positive growth and well-being of children, teenagers, and adults. I specialize in providing treatment for a wide range of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD/ADD, mood disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions, and EMDR therapy. I am dedicated to creating a supportive and nurturing environment to help my clients achieve their therapeutic goals and lead fulfilling lives.

What you can expect from our first session

The therapist is dedicated to fostering a nurturing, secure, and empathetic setting where individuals feel comfortable delving into the thoughts and emotions that shape their daily experiences and hinder their pursuit of joy. The pivotal aspect of cultivating self-love and understanding cannot be overstated, as it plays a crucial role in alleviating feelings of guilt and shame and initiating the journey towards healing.
