Great to meet you!

My Journey

I was a teacher and principal for over 20 years starting in MA, to VA, to NC, to WA, to AZ, and to DC before deciding to change my career. My personal and professional work/life experiences afforded me an advantage because I can provide an experience for clients that fosters an understanding of the many challenges life brings and provides me with the knowledge to help others overcome and persevere.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My Approach and Specialties

I will provide a culturally sensitive, nonjudgmental, positive, and supportive environment. My specialties include trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, and self-esteem; using theoretical integrative approaches, understandable strategies, and concrete techniques geared to the needs for each of my clients.

What you can expect from our first session

My Philosophy

I believe an individual does not have to go through whatever they are going through, alone. With counseling, you can learn that emotions and feelings can and will pass. An individual can choose their own positive thoughts, feelings, and healthy behaviors. Allow me to encourage and support you; so, you can acknowledge, express empathy for your individual experiences, and move forward toward the lifestyle you desire.
