Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Rhonda, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 16 years of experience helping individuals, couples and families work through what feels stuck. Over the years I've worked with clients with diverse cultural backgrounds and at a wide range of settings. These include residential treatment centers, intensive outpatient programs, community clinics, schools and with clients in the entertainment industry which has given me a deep respect for how many different paths bring people to therapy. I am a Daring Way Trained Facilitator, trained in Brene Brown's research on vulnerability, courage and shame resilience . I'm able, if you're interested, to bring that lens into our work together. Above all, I want clients to feel met where they are, with warmth and zero judgment.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, strength-based and rooted in the belief that you already carry the resources you need - sometimes we just need to uncover them together. I am experienced in trauma informed care and I pull from several evidence-based modalities depending on what fits, including CBT, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Motivational Interviewing. I've supported clients through anxiety, depression, substance use, codependency, grief, life transitions and relationship challenges. The therapeutic relationship - built on mutual respect and trust- is the foundation of everything we do together.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is really about getting to know each other. I'll invite you to share what's bringing you in, what you're hoping to get out of therapy, and a little bit about your history - but only as much as you feel comfortable. There's no pressure to have it all figured out, and you won't need to come with a script. I'll ask questions, listen closely, and we'll start to mmap out goals together so you leave with a clearer sense of where we're headed. Expect warmth, curiosity and a space where you can finally exhale!
