Great to meet you!

Over the past 31 years, I have worked in public education as a teacher, diagnostician, and counselor. During the last 10 years of my career, I worked as an education counselor in the Texas prison system working with incarcerated adults. I retired from the public education system in April 2024. My passion for helping others has led me to become a Licensed Professional Counselor so that I may work within the private sector of mental health.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm and welcoming, creating a safe space where clients feel comfortable and understood. I believe in building a trusting relationship, where we can openly work through problems and issues together. My goal is to ensure that every client feels supported and heard, making the therapeutic journey as collaborative and empowering as possible.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to leave sessions with me feeling more understood and supported, with practical strategies to tackle their challenges. They'll gain insights into their thoughts and behaviors, fostering personal growth and self-awareness. Over time, clients will build resilience and develop healthier coping mechanisms, empowering them to navigate life's difficulties with greater confidence and clarity.
