Great to meet you!

With over 20 years of experience supporting children, individuals, and families, I understand how deeply trauma, loss, and difficult life transitions can impact your daily life. My goal is to provide a safe, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to heal. Whether you are navigating the aftermath of trauma, managing intense emotions, or seeking to rebuild hope, we will work together at a pace that feels secure and supportive for you.

My approach to therapy

I utilize evidence-based, trauma-informed modalities tailored to your unique needs. My therapeutic approach is grounded in:

  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT): To help process and heal from traumatic experiences.
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): To resolve distressing memories and somatic symptoms.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): To build practical skills for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness.

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Texas Baptist University and am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). For clients who desire it, I am glad to integrate faith-sensitive perspectives into our clinical work.

What you can expect from me

Our initial session is focused on building connection and understanding your goals. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your history at a comfortable level, and begin collaborating on a personalized treatment plan. You will leave the session with a clear understanding of how we will work together to help you move forward with hope.
