I am Ria Flanagan, I am the clinical supervisor for Rise Up Recover, LLC, counselor, coach and trauma and addiction specialist. I provide courses, workshops, and I am the author of the award-winning workbook Happiness is an Inside Job Playbook.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I specialize in treating addiction, which comes with treating the underlying trauma that preceded it. I am trained in Dr. Peter Levines Somatic Experiencing (SE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Post Induction Therapy (PIT) by Pia Mellody, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and am an integrative therapist that tailors to meet with needs of the client. I am client-centered and also directive.

What you can expect from our first session

I specialize in working with clients motivated to make changes using daily practices to help rewire the brain for recovery from addiction and trauma. I offer supplementary optional materials to eccelerate the change process.
