Hello there! I call myself the therapist mystic. I’m a first generation Latina and have been licensed as an LCSW for the past 10 years. My primary modality is Somatic Experiencing, and my specialty is working with complex trauma including childhood emotional neglect, physical and sexual abuse, and ancestral patterns that can impact your relationships and limit you from living an authentic and fulfilling life.
My lens for the therapeutic process includes the mind, body, and soul. I believe that mental health and wellbeing come from being in alignment with your genuine needs and desires and that mental and physical illness is a manifestation of where you are not. My specialty is helping individuals move out of functional freeze and teaching your body to feel safe accessing grief, shame, and anger so that you access a wider range of capacity in your nervous system. More capacity = more tolerance for moving in the unknown. More capacity = bigger life.
I am a highly skilled diagnostician and help people feel truly seen. I have 10 years of working in crisis teams including de-escalating and navigating high intensity situations while also determining what the crisis is actually showing the individual beneath the surface. I can hold a strong container and create safety for individuals to share their struggles and experiences so we can identify the baseline and the steps needed to reach your therapeutic goals.
