Great to meet you!

I’m a native of Springfield, Missouri, and relocated to the Kansas City area after serving eight years on active duty in the U.S. Army. I’ve been married for 16 years, and my wife and I are raising three daughters together. My military service and family life have deeply shaped my values around responsibility, resilience, and showing up fully for the people who matter most.

My approach to therapy

As a military veteran, my style is direct but never abrasive. I believe in being honest, clear, and compassionate, offering truth in a way that is respectful and grounded. I use a trauma-informed approach to understand the full context of what clients are experiencing and to tailor support accordingly. I am also a person of faith and am happy to integrate faith into sessions when requested. If faith is not part of your life, I respect that completely and will not impose it.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, I’ll take time to gather background information so I can understand your situation as a whole, not just the surface-level concern. We’ll focus on what’s bringing you to therapy now and make sure there’s space to address your most immediate needs. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and clear about how we can move forward together.
