I am a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in Psychiatry. I have over a decade of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in multiple settings such has Inpatient, outpatient clinics, and ER treating clients of all ages. I did my formal training at NYU Hospital. I have completed extra training at the Neuroscience Education Institute. I have also completed training with the First Episode Psychosis Program affiliated with Columbia University.
Psychiatry can sometimes become algorithmic and impersonal. My approach is unique in that I individualize treatment for every client, "one size fits one", analogous to a bespoke suit or a custom made wedding dress. Every session is a chance to educate clients about their diagnosis, medications, analyze efficacy of treatment, and empower individuals to take ownership of their recovery. You are more than just your diagnosis.
Every client can expect to walk away from every session understanding their diagnosis, the way that medications will affect their body and symptoms, as well as learning active lifestyle changes that can benefit their mental and physical well being. You will be receiving the most current evidence based treatments.
