Great to meet you!
Do you ever feel that you have spent years trying to think your way out of anxiety, grief, or anger without ever getting ahead or feeling better? Is your mind often chattering away, telling you how you should feel, or what you need to do to the extent that you are missing what is right in front of you? Lets try something completely new, a 180 to the way you were taught to interact with your inner world. My approach, consistent with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy focuses on pursuing values and meaning above simply coping with symptoms.
I have dedicated my career to helping clients overcome what life throws at them with a style that is creative, spontaneous, and compassionate with a healthy dose of the analytical. Drawing from a foundation in CBT modalities, particularly ACT and Dialectical Behavior Therapy as well my clinical training at Syracuse University and St. Joseph's Hospital, I can help guide you through a difficult transition or a new approach to a life worth living.
