Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Richard!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in New York City. I specialize working with teenagers, college-aged students, young adults and families. My clients may be facing emotional adversity, anxiety, trauma, depression, struggling with adjustment and life transitions, and interpersonal challenges. I graduated from Fordham University with my Master's in Social Work.

My approach to therapy

I use therapeutic techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Strengths-Based Therapy to help engage and support clients through emotional adversity. My therapeutic style is one that includes finding areas of relatability, using empathy, compassion, and a bit of well-timed humor. I believe that our time together involves a commitment to yourself and our work together, can be challenging but ultimately, rewarding.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, we will identify root causes of emotional discomfort, create tangible goals and develop healthy coping mechanisms. Our time together will also be spent taking pride in and celebrating accomplishments on your emotional journey!
