Great to meet you!

I have worked as a therapist since 1993. I have not only provided therapy but, for many years, supervised therapist as well. I’ve had a unique opportunity to work with clients with a wide variety of disorders and problems, and from a wide variety of backgrounds.

My approach to therapy

I would describe my therapy style is mostly cognitive behavioral. Regardless of style, though I understand that it is the quality of the therapeutic relationship that it’s the impetus for change. Without a strong therapeutic relationship between client and therapist, the skills and knowledge of the therapist are meaningless.

What you can expect from me

At first sessions with clients, I like to gather information about their history as well as my client’s reasons for seeking therapy and expectations. In order to understand my client’s current struggles I have the first understand the path they have taken in life to get to this point. Also, first sessions are an important time for establishing rapport with clients and answering any questions or addressing any concerns they have about therapy.
