Great to meet you!

I have been practicing therapy for the past 14 years with experience with a primary focus on both trauma and ADHD, in addition to helping individuals with self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, psychiatric disorders. I have a passion for helping people improve their quality of life in addition to finding peace with past events that have kept them from being their authentic selves!

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic foundation is rooted in existentialism and the purpose of making meaning of our experiences throughout our lifetime. I consider my approach to warm, and non-judgmental as well interactive and humorous. Therapy can be intense at times and finding humor and levity when appropriate can be an effective tool when needed.

I also approach working with clients as collaborative and not me giving minimal responses and head nods. I believe working together and helping my clients identify and connect their strengths and positive factors to the therapeutic process and empower them to take control back of their lives.

What you can expect from me

I believe clients find greater success in therapy when they are provided "tools" to help manage their presenting issues. I often utilize different somatic approaches to help my clients calm when anxious, improve task management skills if they have ADHD, and or overcome negative thoughts and beliefs about themselves that may derive from trauma.

The "talking" part of therapy is as important as developing skills or "tools" to aid in the process of change.

To summarize, I always try to leave my client with something to work on each session with the right tools they can take with them going forward in their lives.
