Great to meet you!

Richard received his B.A. from Caldwell University and went on to earn his MA of Counseling Psychology from Felician University.

Through his experience, Richard has formed an eclectic approach to therapy, incorporating several styles with the intention of tailoring the therapy to best suit the client. He strives to have his approach be client centered, while also incorporating CBT, Mindfulness, and Existential therapy among others.

My approach to therapy

Richard does not believe in a "one size fits all" approach to therapy and seeks to hand tailor your sessions to best suit your needs. Richard's goal is to have clients leave sessions with hands-on skills and new perspectives to use in their daily lives in order to see progress along individualized treatment goals. Rather than allowing yourself to "return to the old you", Richard seeks to help clients take the aspects of the "old you" that you enjoyed and build upon them to be a better version.

What you can expect from me

To allow yourself to be vulnerable and seek self improvement is one of the bravest, strongest things a person could do for themselves. Richard will work together with you as partners to reach your goals and redefine yourself.
