Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome. (I think I am warm, welcoming, and respectfully challenging.) I became a psychiatric nurse, and then nurse practitioner, in a "later-in-life" new career, after decades working in construction and political activism. Always a fan of psychotherapy. I believe we humans are a social species, meaning, I think we want and need to be part of a community to thrive. I want to help people retrieve, revive and develop our emotional and social skills. This is one reason I favor group therapy. I love to help people grow, connect, and create the lives we desire.

My approach to therapy

As a psych NP, I manage medication. I also practice an innovative approach called social therapy, which helps people develop emotionally and socially. Working individually or in groups, people learn how to create new responses to existing situations, transforming what is. This often includes new ways of thinking, feeling, and relating to yourself and others.

What you can expect from me

This is what I mean by development, and everyone, whatever your age, situation, and whether or not you have a prior diagnosis, everyone has the ability to grow and develop throughout your life. Give yourself the opportunity to change your life by taking the first step now. Call or email me, and let's arrange a free, 15-minute consultation.
