Richard Rutherford

Hello! My name is Rich Rutherford, LCSW. My practice is RNR Counseling Services LCSW, PLLC located in West Seneca, NY. I offer counseling appointments Monday thru Thurs 6p-8p so children can stay in school and adults who work dayshift can stay at work. I also offer Saturday appointments from 9am-1pm for additional flexibility. I have over 25 years' experience working in Human Services. I have been a therapist since 2010 and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2016. I do individual therapy primarily for people 12 and up. I will consider family therapy on a case-by-case basis depending on the circumstances.

I provide in-person and virtual therapy in a quiet office setting. My office is set up to be calming and comfortable. I use Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing with elements of DBT during sessions with clients.

Clients feel empowered after sessions with me. Clients are the experts in their own lives and will determine their own course of treatment by developing their own treatment plan goals. I use humor with clients and emphasis right from initial session that all clients have strengths.
