Great to meet you!

My name is Richard Yohr. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

I specialize in supporting individuals, couples and families through life transitions, especially when they are experiencing overwhelming emotions such as anxiety and depression, and in grieving a loss or series of losses. I also support marriages and families through conflict and other relational struggles, providing ideas and tools necessary to promote your relationships to a healthier, more connected, and happier place.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy in collaboration with you, specifically focusing on what the current struggles are, and finding solutions that work for you and your relationships.

My approach with individuals is to promote empowerment in your life, toward you leading the kind of life you want to create. And in helping with your relationship, the goal is to create healthy, fulfilling, need-satisfying, and connected relationships in your life.

I utilize various therapy approaches including Cognitive Behavioral, Choice Theory/Reality Therapy, along with Structural and Solution-Focused approaches.

What you can expect from me

In our initial session, you will find a safe, confidential, warm, and comfortable environment, where we will focus in on what you want and need, and begin to find solutions to the struggles you are experiencing in your life, that are getting in the way of what you would like to achieve.
